‘[T]he Charge Nurse Was Adamant – “Don’t Mention That. Don’t Say Scabies…”‘

01 July 2014 @ 20:42

At the same moment, off at the other end of town, Josiane and Marcel sit in front of the radio, looking at each other without a word. They’ve gotten the picture. Finally she tells him: “The sooner you do it, the better for us. Go on up Marcel drags himself out of his chair, looks over his nice little living-room furniture (cut-rate, twenty-four monthly installments), sighs, opens the door, and tells the dark child lurking on the landing, “Take me to your daddy.” And up on the sixth floor, in the two-room flat where Monsieur Ali and his brood live huddled—eight in all, with five kids and an elderly mother—he’ll hold out his hand, and with the other on his heart, he’ll hear himself pronounce these incredible words, sincere as can be: “Look, Monsieur Ali, the wife and me … Well, like, we’ve been thinking. It just isn’t fair. All of you, I mean, cooped up like this in a tiny flat. So we kind of figured that the two of us … I mean, we could get along fine up here. And in our place you’d have lots more room. … No, don’t mention it. What’s right is right. Got to help each other out nowadays, know what I mean? … Cute little kids you got there, Monsieur Au. Nice and polite …” And that’s that! One, two, three! No pressure this time. No physical force, no legal persuasion. And some people still say this world is dog eat dog!

—Jean Raspail, The Camp Of The Saints, Chapter Forty-Seven

This report from Fox News’s Todd Starnes is very disturbing…but not at all surprising [tip of the fedora to Lisa St. Romain via Donald Douglas]:

A government-contracted security force threatened to arrest doctors and nurses if they divulged any information about the contagion threat at a refugee camp housing illegal alien children at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, sources say.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their identities because they fear retaliation and prosecution.

“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.

The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”

“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”

She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.

“Everyone was paranoid,” she said. “The children had more rights than the workers.”

She said children in the camp had measles, scabies, chicken pox and strep throat as well as mental and emotional issues.

“It was not a good atmosphere in terms of health,” she said. “I would be talking to children and lice would just be climbing down their hair.”

A former nurse at the camp told me she was horrified by what she saw.

“We have so many kids coming in that there was no way to control all of the sickness – all this stuff coming into the country,” she said. “We were very concerned at one point about strep going around the base.”

Both the counselor and the nurse said their superiors tried to cover up the extent of the illnesses.

“When they found out the kids had scabies, the charge nurse was adamant – ‘Don’t mention that. Don’t say scabies,’” the nurse recounted. “But everybody knew they had scabies. Some of the workers were very concerned about touching things and picking things up. They asked if they should be concerned, but they were told don’t worry about it.”

The nurse said the lice issue was epidemic – but everything was kept “hush-hush.”

“You could see the bugs crawling through their hair,” she said. “After we would rinse out their hair, the sink would be loaded with black bugs.”

The counselor kept a detailed journal about what happened during her tenure at the facility.

“When people read that journal they are going to be astonished,” she said. ‘I don’t think they will believe what is going on in America.”

So it was not a great surprise, she said, when she received a call from federal agents demanding that she return to the military base and hand over her journal.

She said she declined to do so.

“I didn’t go back to Lackland,” she said.

Both workers told me while they have no regrets, they want to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

“They’re going to crush the system,” the nurse told me. “We can’t sustain this. They are overwhelming the system and I think it’s a travesty.”

Please do take the time to click here and read the full report by Mr. Starnes, which, if possible, is even more sickening and anger-inducing.

Jeff Goldstein covers the human trafficking and rape pool aspect of this story here.

On this anniversary of the vote on Independence, one can’t but help recall these passages from The Declaration:

—He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation. … —He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

This Administration, this Fascist Regime, is animated by a Spirit of Hate for everything American, and, in the frenzy of that destructive, Nihilistic emotion, it has encouraged and provided aid and comfort to people who are our Enemies, who have no compunction using and abusing innocent children.

This is Treason.

How long will we allow this Regime to continue?  How long will we enable it?

We have a full-fledged imperial president on our hands. A man who has no respect for you, no respect for the rule of law, no respect for our history and tradition. And there’s 2 and a half more years of this. And he’s supported by the fascist party, the Democrat party which supports all of it and wants him to go even further.

Rather disgusting. The whole damn thing. I’m surprised I haven’t heard more of it coming out of the voters I’m polling, but not yet…

It’s like Voter Fraud. It doesn’t exist until it threatens the interests of the elite.

I’ve been thinking treason is what this is about, especially in light of the contract offered back in January to facilitate the handling of an influx of illegal minors. Precipitate the crisis, then position one’s self as savior. I watched Brit Hume say that last bit on TV Tuesday night – that preezy is trying as fast as he can to deport them, which was somewhat astonishing.

It’s nice that Brit Hume understands what The Jarrett Junto is up to, but he and his type will still not take the next step and demand the People rise-up. They refuse to see that we are in a Post-Constitutional nation, where the old methods for reversing threats to our Freedom and Liberties no longer work.

What Hume did was defend preezy. Even my mother looked at me and asked if she were hearing him right. So I would say the odds of him or his type stating what methods were appropriate for defending the country at this point are between tiny and none. In my blur of online reading yesterday, I caught a remark by someone musing if Hume hadn’t taken the Norquist blue pill. I did not understand what they meant. I do now.

I saw the reports on disease and abuse and temporarily filed them in the same place I file badly PShopped images of “UN Police on US soil”. But as time passes, the former is looking less and less hyperbolic. I think it’s important that we avoid spreading Black Helicopter rumors, OTOH, if the Feds really are knowingly flying thousands of sick kids around on commercial flights, the CDC should be publicly hopping mad and warning everyone, and congress is obliged to stop acting like nutless monkeys. If what Starnes is reporting really is the situation, then quite literally millions of people’s health is at risk and those with knowledge who sit back and say nothing are just as culpable as the people who precipitated this crisis.
