The TCOTS Rule 5 Compliance Committee, while it has a strong prejudice in favor of featuring gals from the Anglosphere, nevertheless spends a good deal of time searching the world over for lovely lasses from many different lands. The Committee was fortunate recently to encounter a lady who was born in another land, but, at the tender age of four, was brought to this country by a mother and father who wanted her to grow-up breathing the clean air of freedom. While throughly American, this gal possesses that classic exotic physical beauty that is only found among the women of Persia, or as we call it in these unserious days: Iran. ‘Rubenesque’ is a great term, so is ‘voluptous’. Sadly, one has to be weary of using such terms today because the morbidly and near-morbidly obese have claimed claimed both terms. Both used to denote gals who were not like Roseanne and Rosie. It’s like co-opting of the great word ‘gay’ by the homosexuals – taking a great and unique descriptor and corrupting it.
True.. I blame Playboy for ruining a generation of men who can’t appreciate a true voluptuous woman.
Too many of today’s men look at a Kim Kardashian body type and think she’s fat when it’s her natural body shape..
They’ll see the woman above and think she’s fat because she isn’t stick thin and it’s all because that’s all they see in Victoria’s Secret or Playboy or Maxim or on TV so they’ve limited their vision and defined beauty down from their perspective.
And I don’t hear that from the studly type of guys out there but portly, out of shape guys too. I live in a generation of idiots at times. Their ideal woman has been through the plastic surgeon a few trips, photoshopped and airbrushed so that when real woman sits next to them, they’ll turn up their noses at her.
(whew, sorry for the rant.. but it’s one of the things that burns my hide when I hear someone say ‘Yeah, she’s fat’ to a girl like the pictured above.)
Spot-on. It’s interesting that Playboy didn’t turn until the 1970’s. As you have been able to see by a lot of my Rule 5 postings lately, at one time, they did feature women of classic shape. Then, for some reason, they decided to go with the trend of featuring women who look like fourteen year old boys, minus the package, from the waist down. Then they decided that pneumatic women were the standard. Then they decided to go with the flow and feature ladies who had been waxed to look like twelve year old girls. I think its a result of, mainly, among other reasons: (1) the triumph of feminist androgenous thinking and (2) the influence of female-hating gay men who have made the ideal woman standard into a freakish-looking doll.
The motto of TCOTS is To Celebrate And Defend Western Civilization, and one of my main goals is to celebrate the normal, mentally healthy, natural, classical woman in all of her unique glory, both foreign and domestic. Life is not worth living in the Valley Of The Dolls.
