Seared And Roiling In The French Quarter

13 April 2010 @ 18:00

My previous posting on Stacy McCain’s Fear And Loathing In The French Quarter can be found by clicking here.

-I apologize for not having done another posting on the conclusion of his trip to New Orleans yesterday [doesn’t my family understand that I’m busy saving America, one blog posting at a time?].  You probably have already caught-up by visiting The Other McCain, but, in case you haven’t, here goes…

-Saturday Night, Stacy, harking back to his early years, filed a crime report on a shooting on Canal Street.  His report concludes:

Obviously, this crime was committed by enraged Tea Party activists who had been watching Glenn Beck and were incited to murder by Sarah Palin’s SRLC speech. Or at least that’s Andrew Sullivan’s theory, pending an FBI investigation.

What about that agitator, Herman Cain, as a ‘conservative of interest’?  He got that crowd at the SRLC pretty riled up and all clingy, that’s for sure.

-On Sunday, Stacy conducted a random Man-On-The-Street video interview and commented:

Kind of weird how so many of these random man-on-the-street types down here in New Orleans all have the same last name, “for Congress.” Quaint local custom, I suppose . . .

-It seems Stace is now acting as a recruiter for The Fedora Crime Family headed by Don DaTechguy.  In the Comments Section of the posting and over at his own site, The Troglopundit, Lancelot Link Burri comments: ‘I want a fedora’.

Anything would be an improvement over this, Lancelot…

Lance Burri whines to a young and drunk Scott Brown at the 2008 GOP Convention.

Four words, my cheesy friend: Hats In The Belfrey.

Also on Sunday, Stacy published some more photos from Friday Night’s Blogger Bash that involve Andrew Breitbart  doing some kind of voodoo and shots of the lovely Lyndsey Fifield.  The last pic is from Sunday in the French Quarter and shows Stacy in a pose that will haunt him, thanks to his friends, for many years to come:

‘Hello, Sailor!’

-On Monday, he filed a report on the SRLC and the 2010 Elections over at The American Spectator.  A highlight:

Far from the main stage, away from the television cameras and unnoticed by reporters covering the speeches by famous names, other stories were developing, stories of potentially greater importance — and certainly more urgent than the question of who will carry the Republican banner in a presidential election more than two years in the future.

For hundreds of GOP congressional candidates, the only date that matters is not 2012, but Nov. 2 — now less than seven months away — and for many of those candidates, their campaigns will end sooner, as multi-candidate primaries have become the rule rather than the exception in a mid-term free-for-all perhaps destined to be known as the Year of Republican Hope.

-He also filed a supplemental report to the TAS one over at The Other McCain.

-Well, that’s it.  Another succesful trip sponsored by Stacy’s friends and well worth any monies donated.

‘Maybe there is no Heaven. Or maybe this is all pure gibberish — a product of the demented imagination of a lazy drunken hillbilly with a heart full of hate who has found a way to live out where the real winds blow — to sleep late, have fun, get wild, drink whisky, and drive fast on empty streets with nothing in mind except falling in love and not getting arrested…

Res ipsa loquitur. Let the good times roll.’
