Turnabout Is Fair Play, LA

20 May 2010 @ 10:25

With the support of the mayor, the Los Angeles City Council last week voted to boycott Arizona and companies based there all because of the new law passed that seeks to dam the flood of illegal immigrants to that state.  The Council aren’t the only one’s who have done this.  As you might expect, the usual crowd of Leftist-controlled city and town governments across the country have passed, or will be passing, similar measures.

It’s the same spirit that Arizona showed in passing the law in question and a subsequent one banning the teaching of”

…any classes that promote “the overthrow of the United States government,” “resentment toward a race or class of people,” “are designed primarily for pupils of a particular ethnic group” or “advocate ethnic solidarity instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.”

Well now, in the person of Gary Pierce, Commissioner on the Arizona Corporation Commission, they are striking back at the cretins in LA.

Mr. Pierce has written a letter to the Mayor of The City Of Angels that launches a counter-offensive.  Carol, over at Carol’s Closet, has the whole letter posted, but here is a highlight:

I received your message; please receive mine. As a state-wide elected member of the Arizona Corporation Commission overseeing Arizona’s electric and water utilities, I too am keenly aware of the “resources and ties” we share with the City of Los Angeles. In fact, approximately twenty-five percent of the electricity consumed in Los Angeles is generated by power plants in Arizona.

If an economic boycott is truly what you desire, I will be happy to encourage Arizona utilities to renegotiate your power agreements so Los Angeles no longer receives any power from Arizona-based generation. I am confident that Arizona’s utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands….

Take that you smarmy, arrogant, multi-cultural, disloyal dilettantes!

Someone should give that magnificent bastard a medal.

As Carol comments:

…I am glad to see Arizona standing up against those would try to bully them. It has always been my experience the bullies fold pretty quickly when confronted.

They do indeed.

Three More Cheers For Arizona!

I read that one yahoo from LA responded by saying that they (LA) “own” that power. Ha. Possession is 9/10 of the law last I looked.

    Thanks for the link, Bob!

Well, Carol, the Bolshe elected officials think they ‘own’ everything. To quote The Raygun: We bought – we paid for it – it’s our’s.
