    Proof… now THAT was superbe.

So Bob… minor medical issue, huh? Optical, apparently. Full recovery, dude!

So Bob, are we going to actually see them? Or will it be as ProofPositive says, “A Rule Five of the mind?”

OMG. Thanks. Wow. Do you have these in Braille?

Right – Bob, now that you’re back, I need some off-topic advice: When I link to Maggie’s site, I’m pegged by WordPress as some sort of Evil Troll or something when she sees ’em. Does that happen here when I link to your site? Any idea of what to do? Thnx!

Outstanding Rule 5 selections. I will steal.

Hope all went well for you, Mr. Belvedere.

What does Mrs. Belvedere think of all of these photos of nearly naked women?

  9. 19 November 2010 @ 20:28 20:28

Farah Holt is too skinny to be healthy, isn’t she? If that’s her ribs bone I can see…ew!

Other than that, a lovely selection of lovelies, as usual.

kc – if you don’t want Farah, I’ll gladly take her off your hands!

I’m the mother of a young woman approximately the same age, Erich…as a mama, that skinny just doesn’t look attractive. I know men think completely differently, b’lieve me! She IS beautiful, I don’t disagree. You take her and feed her a couple good steak dinners with baked potatoes and banana splits for dessert, it’ll do my heart good. 😎

A nice selection (for the most part), as usual, Mr. B.

Minor medical issue? Hope all is well, Bob. Please let me know if I can do anything to help.

Maybe it’s just because I’m on the mesomorph side of things, but some women are just too skinny. Lean and healthy is one thing, but… have some curves that don’t come from silicone, please!

Oh, you put Kate Middelton up! I’m very jealous… not of her, but of England, who will have such a lovely and classy lady to be the wife of their prince, whereas we are stuck with Michelle Obama. Ugh.

  15. 20 November 2010 @ 07:38 07:38

    SO true, Roxeanne, so true.

kc – I think the way that particular picture is taken/posed with her kind of twist turned sideways, makes her look skinnier than she actually is, probably intentionally. She probably does need a couple good meals in her, but I’ll take her anyway. 🙂 I also think the desire for unhealthy ultra-skinnyness originates more from women themselves than from trying to please men, most of whom are not fans of the anorexic look.

  17. 20 November 2010 @ 15:57 15:57

I’ll go with the pose contributing, Erich. My comment about men thinking differently wasn’t meant to imply that’s why women go for that look. The ones I’ve known with anorexia are driven by their own views of themselves (often reinforced by mothers who are far too involved in how their girls look, or specific men), not the opinions of men in general. Men – in general – would find that picture extremely attractive…nuthin’ wrong with that, she is a very attractive young woman.

Ran: That has only happened to me at the AmSpecBlog site.

    C Monster: Steal away.

TLC: Mrs. B has two opinions (1) men will be men and (2) she likes the classy shots.

KC: I have hope for Holt. You’re quite right in that a few solid dinners wouldn’t hurt.

Roxe: I will. I don’t mind a thin woman as long as she is not bony or an overweight one as long as she is not morbidly obese. The thing I find most physically unattractive about women is when they look like 14 year old boys from the waist down. That whole arobics look of the 1980’s was awful. Gals: celebrate your curves! Also, Miss Middleton is a classic English beauty – I just hope she has more soul than that horrid Diana. Albion will be going through some very very rough times in the coming years and the Monarchy may be the only thing that holds that great island together and prevents it from going Muslim.

Erich: I think you’re partially right. Another reason is the influence of women-hating gay men in the fashion industry who like women who look like boys and/or freaks of nature, and who dress them in God-awful and unflattering clothing [in anticipation of a reaction: please understand that I do not refer to all gay men, just a subset]. Also, having known a few fashion photographers I can tell you you’re quite right about that the pose and angle of the shot can create false impressions.

KC: Sometimes, when choosing a picture for inclusion, the face will trump any other ‘defects’. Sidenote: You’d be amazed how many picture I reject.

GN6: I’m finding I can always count on you,

Matt: Thank you. You’re always very generous and it is much appreciated.

Ran: To break from my usual habit and be immodest for a moment: I think my nickname for her is much better: LADY MICHBETH.

Bunni: Thank you, Bunni. Your site always brightens my day.
