This is the Ipatiev House in Ekaterinburg, Russia…

It was code-named The House Of Special Purpose by the Bolsheviks.  Lenin ordered that Nicholas II, ex-Tsar of all the Russias, and his family be imprisoned there, but that was not the ‘special’ purpose.  This is the Tsar and his family:

On that day, Patriot Outlaws met the British in battle on the hills of Charlestown, Massachusetts.

The Red Coats won the Battle, but their losses were so horrific [especially among the Officers] they never dared venture out of Boston again.

A disorganized army of Colonists under shaky and sometimes non-existent command, fought bravely and held off the damned British as long as they could.

Their Spirit must never be forgotten.

From a letter written by Peter Brown, Colonial Soldier, on 18 June 1775, to his mother in Rhode Island [re-paragraphing mine]:

…The enemy landed, fronted before us, and form’d themselves, in an oblong square in order to surround, which they did in part — after they were well form’d they advanced towards us in order to swallow us up, but they found a Choaky mouthful of us, ‘tho we could do nothing with our small arms as yet for distance, and had but two Cannon, and no Gunner, and they from Boston, and from the shipping firing and throwing Bombs, keeping us down, till they almost surrounded us.

From a letter written by Samuel Adams to his wife Elizabeth on 28 June 1775 from Philadelphia:

MY DEAR BETSY,

Yesterday I receivd Letters from some of our Friends at the Camp informing me of the Engagement between the American Troops and the Rebel Army, in Charlestown. I cannot but be greatly rejoycd at the tryed Valor of our Countrymen, who by all Accounts behavd with an Intrepidity becoming those who fought for their Liberties against the mercenary Soldiers of a Tyrant. It is painful to me to reflect upon the Terror I must suppose you were under on hearing the Noise of War so near you. Favor me, my dear, with an Account of your Apprehensions at that time, under your own hand. I pray God to cover the heads of our Countrymen in every day of Battle, and ever to protect you from Injury in these distracted Times. The Death of our truly amiable and worthy Friend Dr Warren is greatly afflicting. The Language of Friendship is, how shall we resign him! But it is our Duty to submit to the Dispensations of Heaven, “Whose Ways are ever gracious, ever just.” He fell in the glorious Struggle for the publick Liberty.

The Dr. Warren referred to is Dr. Joseph Warren, who was in charge of the Massachusetts Rebels in the absence of Samuel Adams.

He had been commissioned a Major General in the Massachusetts Militia, but insisted on serving as a Private during The Battle Of Bunker Hill.  From Wikipedia:

Warren was appointed a Major General by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. He arrived where the militia was forming and asked where the heaviest fighting would be; General Israel Putnam pointed to Breeds Hill. He volunteered as a private against the wishes of General Putnam and Colonel William Prescott, who requested that he serve as their commander. Since Putnam and Prescott were more experienced with war he declined command. He was among those inspiring the men to hold rank against superior numbers. Warren was known to have repeatedly declared of the British: “These fellows say we won’t fight! By Heaven, I hope I shall die up to my knees in blood!” He fought in the redoubt until out of ammunition, and remained until the British made their third and final assault on the hill to give time for the militia to escape. He was killed instantly by a musket ball in the head by a British officer (possibly Lieutenant Lord Rawdon) who recognized him. This account is supported by a 2011 forensic analysis. His body was stripped of clothing and he was bayoneted until unrecognizable, and then shoved into a shallow ditch.

British Captain Walter Laurie, who had been defeated at Old North Bridge, later said he “stuffed the scoundrel with another rebel into one hole, and there he and his seditious principles may remain.” His body was exhumed ten months after his death by his brothers and Paul Revere, who identified the remains by the artificial tooth he had placed in the jaw….

…Cult Democrats and passive, pencil-pushing, status-quo-worshipping, RINO desk jockeys transformed those agencies some years ago into politicized, increasingly lawless and autonomous militarized bureaucracies which play a double game of publicly invoking the authority of the United States for their legitimacy, even while privately flouting that very authority by manipulating evidence, lying to FISA courts, illegally spying on American citizens, hiding exculpatory evidence, hiring and retaining corrupt agents, framing the innocent, defying the orders of a sitting president, and even refusing to arrest preferred politicians no matter how brazen their crimes.

The Department Of Justice and the FBI have become nothing but creatures of The Estblishment and The Left In America.

They are a joke…and I would be laughing heartily if this wasn’t Undermining The American Republic.

As I wrote in my book, <b>One The Causes And Effects Of THE PRESENT CRISIS In America</b>:

…We no longer live in The United States, but, rather ‘the United State’.

When you have the whole of the national government — the Executive, the Congress, the Judiciary, and their Administrators making laws at will, the Several States are denied representation in the running of the Federal Government.

When you have the four branches of said Government overturning laws passed by the Sovereign People’s Elected Representatives in the Several States, they are reduced to being nothing more than administrative units — ‘branch offices’, as it were — for the national government, unable to exercise the Sovereignty granted to them by their own citizens.

Most importantly, when every part of the Federal Government is able to make laws, Checks and Balances, as properly understood and desired, are no longer possible. The only check on any single one of the four branches is the Power And Control the other ones, singularly or collectively, can use against the individual branch when it disagrees with it’s proposed law-making. In other words, Raw Power now governs the operations of the national government. And the People – who are the Repository of Sovereignty – and the governments they have instituted at the state, county, and local levels, are denied any exercise of their Sovereignty.

This is Tyranny.

A Unified State, such as we live under now, can never be Governed, can never be Controlled, properly.

A Unified State is, by it’s very Nature, an Arbitrary State, where the Whims of those in Power And Control reign supreme.

An Arbitrary State means that every element of it will be Subjective and Dictatorial and Erratic. When the Law is haphazard, subject to the Whims of it’s Enforcers, what is required is ‘the necessity of a police state’, because no such laws can be implemented or maintained without resorting to Repressive Measures.

So, the Several States have been stripped of their Delegated Powers and the Will of the Sovereign People has been denied – both by the national government.

Therefore, the Federal Government has lost any claim to Legitimacy.

We owe it no allegiance, nor, if we are to consider ourselves Virtuous, can we offer it any Support or Sanction….

Without The Rule Of Law, none of our freedoms and that Ordered Liberty we hold so dear are safe.

The Republic The Founders gifted to us, The United States Of America, having endured Relentless Onslaughts by the Ideologues for over a century has finally been Destroyed. The siege has been successful, and we are now Subjects of a United State, where Power And Control lies not in the hands of The Sovereignty [ie: The People], but in the hands of those Tough and Ruthless and Determined enough to have muscled their way in to positions of Power And Control The Tyrants have made their big move: have we the Will to counter it and their Will To Power?

This is a story of Contempt, you see.

Your picture of yourself is a media myth…

Regarding the recent Terrorist Attack in France where a teacher was beheaded by a Muslim shouting ‘Allahu Akbar!’: while it was nice to see the French President call the attack what it was, the most of the Media reported on the attack with mentioning the motive.

Stacy McCain shows the evidence here and, at one point, comments:

…the media will often times bend over backward to humanize terrorists who fit a favored political or ethnic profile, with the suggestion that their motives are legitimate grievances. The media feels compelled to depict certain terrorists (e.g., Dzhokhar Tsarnaev) as sympathetic figures because, they fear, an unsympathetic portrayal of such figures might inspire “backlash” against whatever group the attacker represents….

The Times They Have Been Changing: #Election2020

As Mark Steyn put it earlier this week:

…Reagan’s America no longer exists and is instead a demographically transformed ruin of mutually hostile tribalisms. At heart, even the hardest of hardcore MAGA optimists knows this will be a close race: As I put it a few weeks back, all we can say for certain about November 3rd is that on November 3rd we will be able to say nothing certain. Round about 8.47pm the networks will fill with a parade of bigshot Dems insisting that we need to “count every vote” and “if they’re so convinced they’ve won, what are Republicans afraid of?”

It is entirely possible (and indeed rather likely) that Trump will win “election day” — that is to say, the in-person votes of those who wander along on a Tuesday to their town halls and school gyms — and that Biden will win the postal votes stretched out between mid-September and whenever the last envelope postmarked November 3rd finally shows up in the mail. Which is unknowable. Which is the point. Which is why the Democrat machine favors such a system.

So, a little after all those calls to “count every vote”, the “mostly peaceful protests” will come roaring back, to be followed by court challenges to the same judges who’ve spent the last four years striking down “Muslim bans” and DACA stays. Three months of chaos — and that’s without China’s bubonic bonus.¹

One question that will be interesting to see the answer to is: Will these ‘mostly peaceful protests’ let up between now and 03 November?

I can see it going either way.

If the Nihilists can be convinced to simmer-down their rioting [and that is a Big ‘If’] it may make more people comfortable with voting for the Joe ‘Hill’ Biden / Kamala ‘Kneepads’ Harris ticket.

The odds, however, are in favor of the Nihilists continuing their Pillaging and Violence right up to, and including, Election Day.  So far they have proven to be very Uncontrollable — maybe Soros can step-in.

That the Mail-In Vote counts will be corrupted is not in doubt.

The key to Trumpicus Pompey Maximus maintaining his conservative positions is for the GOPe to retain control of The Senate.

So there are two tasks before Trump and the GOPe: re-win The Presidency and keep control of The Senate.

Nothing is Assured, but we know that loss of the full Congress will result in The Great Deal Maker™ making deals with a Radical Leftist Congress…and that is not a good thing.

Right out of the box, the Trump campaign was ready with a 30-second ad attacking Joe Biden’s VP choice Kamala Harris as “phony,” which shows that someone at Trump HQ has been paying attention to the nuances of African American culture. Because one of the things that caused Harris to lose support in the Democratic primaries was the realization by black voters that, as several have said, “She ain’t us.”

ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) is a category described by black podcasters Yvette Carnell and Antonio Moore. It refers to the distinction between someone like Barack Obama (whose mother was white and whose father was Kenyan) and someone whose ancestors were enslaved in America. While this distinction may not seem important to most white people, it means a lot to black Americans who have noticed the way in which elite institutions (e.g., Ivy League universities) engage in what might be called substitute tokenism to meet the necessary “diversity” quotas. From the perspective of “diversity” managers, one brown face is the same as the other, but from the perspective of struggling African-Americans, the white system is not doing them any favors by giving scholarships to the children of immigrants merely for the sake of having more brown faces on campus.

Kamala Harris’s father is from Jamaica and her mother is from India. How many African Americans have a mother named Shyamala Gopalan….

Go check out the #ADOS hashtag on Twitter and you’ll discover an extensive discourse on this topic. It’s not coming from Republicans or conservatives, but from black people who feel they are being defrauded by the game of substitute tokenism that Harris represents….

In the minds of many Blacks, Mzzz. Harris is not really Black.  Her ancestors were not slaves and, it seems, owned slaves in Jamaica.

This reminds me of the Cubans who divided themselves into White and Black Cubans.  The former have always looked-down on the latter,

‘Substitute Tokenism’ is Real, a favorite tactic of The Left.  It already, it seems, is leading to a Rift on The Port Side.

Trouble is: The Democrats tend, as Election Day draws near, to put aside their rifts and join together because they perceive the Enemy — us, we True Americans — as the Bigger Enemy.

“ Nikolai Aleksandrovich, your relatives have tried to save you, but they had not to. And we are forced to shoot you by ourselves… ”

Yurovsky then began to read the decision of the Ural Executive Committee (Uralispolkom), and Nicholas said “What?” As the weapons were raised, the Empress and the Grand Duchess Olga, according to a guard’s reminiscence, had tried to cross themselves, but failed amid the shooting. Yurovsky reportedly raised his gun at Nicholas and fired; Nicholas fell dead instantly. The other executioners then began shooting until all the intended victims had fallen. Several more shots were fired at the victims and the doors opened to scatter the smoke. Some survived the gunshots, so executioner P.Z. Yermakov stabbed them with bayonets because the shouts could be heard outside. The last ones to die were Anastasia, Tatiana, Olga, and Maria, who were wearing several pounds (over 1.3 kilograms) of diamonds within their clothing, thus rendering them bullet-proof to an extent. However they were speared with bayonets as well. Olga sustained a gun shot wound to the head while Anastasia and Maria were said to have crouched up against a wall covering their heads in terror until Maria was shot down, and Anastasia had been finished off with the bayonets. Yurovsky himself killed Tatiana and Alexei. Tatiana died from a single bullet through the back of her head. Alexei received two bullets to the head, right behind the ear. Anna Demidova, Alexandra’s maid, survived the initial onslaught but was quickly murdered against the back wall of the basement, stabbed to death while trying to defend herself with a small pillow she had carried into the sub-basement that was filled with precious gems and jewels. Military commissar Peter Ermakov, in a drunken haze, stabbed at the dead bodies of the former Czar and Czarina, shattering both their rib cages in a pool of blood.

The bodies were then loaded into trucks, taken into the woods, desecrated, and buried.

This is the room where they were slaughtered in the name of Leftism:

This brutal murder of a whole family was certainly not the first, nor would it be the last, such action perpetrated by Leftists in their various ‘glorious’ marches to bring about Heaven on Earth [hundreds of millions of souls cry-out to us], but in it, in this one action, is to be found the ultimate representation of where Leftism will always lead: to the slaughter of innocent human beings in the name of ideas — ideology.  Logic dictates that there can be no other end.

As long as Leftism is allowed to thrive, to just exist, then the Olga’s, Maria’s, Tatiana’s, Anastasia’s, and Alexis’s of this world are not safe from the barrels of Bolshevik guns.  If the Leftists were to control the world, they would turn the whole of it into a House Of Special Purpose.

In view of the tens of thousands of lives which the Cheka would claim in the years that followed the Ekaterinburg tragedy, and the millions killed by its successors, the death at its hands of eleven prisoners hardly qualifies as an event of extraordinary magnitude. And yet, there is a deep symbolic meaning to the massacre of the ex-Tsar, his family, and staff. Just as liberty has its great historic days —the battles of Lexington and Concord, the storming of the Bastille—so does totalitarianism. The manner in which the massacre was prepared and carried out, at first denied and then justified, has something uniquely odious about it, something that radically distinguishes it from previous acts of regicide and brands it as a prelude to twentieth-century mass murder.

When a government arrogates to itself the power to kill people, not because of what they had done or even might do, but because their death is “needed,” we are entering an entirely new moral realm. Here lies the symbolic significance of the events that occurred in Ekaterinburg in the night of July 16–17. The massacre, by secret order of the government, of a family that for all its Imperial background was remarkably commonplace, guilty of nothing, desiring only to be allowed to live in peace, carried mankind for the first time across the threshold of deliberate genocide. The same reasoning that had led the Bolsheviks to condemn them to death would later be applied in Russia and elsewhere to millions of nameless beings who happened to stand in the way of one or another design for a new world order.

‘Busing To Achieve Racial Desegregation’?…Never Happened?

I was but a young lad in 1971 when Busing To Achieve Racial Desegregation was Imposed on the City Of Boston by Federal Judge W. Arthur Garrity Jr.

As I wrote in THE PRESENT CRISIS¹ [Chapter 4: The Triumph Of Leftist Thinking]:

Forced Busing pitted neighbor against neighbor by forcing the races to exist together under terms not dictated by the people, but by Judges and Bureaucrats, distant from the people, if not by actual, physical distance, then by experience. This Dictatorial Despotism [‘we know what’s better for Race Relations then you do’] ended-up causing the phenomenon of ‘White Flight’, where, to protect the quality of their children’s education and safety, White parents removed their children from public schools and placed them into private [mostly Parochial} institutions away from the hands of an Unfeeling, Uncaring, Busybody Government [made-up of mostly Judges, in this case, who were acting way outside of their Enumerated Powers, but who were heartily cheered-on by the Social Engineers]. Children were torn out of the neighborhoods they had grown-up in and were familiar — and, therefore, comfortable — with and sent long distances to often dangerous neighborhoods.

Very few people disputed the fact that schools in minority neighborhoods of this time were, in too many instances, not providing the same quality of education as those in predominately White ones [a situation created by mostly Democratic Machine Politicians, by the way]. Instead of working to correct this problem by striving to improve the quality of education in the affected neighborhoods and, further, allowing the races to continue to naturally come together at their own speed [as they were doing], the advocates of forced Busing decided to compel the races, at the point of a gun, to mix with each other.

In this case, the Social Engineers decided to experiment on those on the low-end of the economic ladder — a pattern repeated over and over in History, fueled by the basic Leftist belief that such people are ignoramuses and, thus, are (1) easily manipulated and (2) not worth as much to Society [that whole Leftist disbelief in the Inherent Dignity of Man rearing it’s ugly head again here] so they can be experimented on without having to worry or care about the effect of their Re-Engineering on these types of people.

The result of this ‘grand’ experiment was that at least one generation of young people was deprived of proper educations and, most importantly, the progress in Race Relations was setback by decades.

These days, urban schools are a disaster and a big part of the reason for this is because the horrible legacy of forced Busing To Achieve Racial Desegregation lives on.²

Now comes the ‘Black Senate’ of the University Of Pittsburgh demanding the following, according to a report from Mike LaChance of Legal Insurrection.

The demands range from curriculum to hiring and firing policies.

Chrissy Clark of the Washington Free Beacon notes the impact on free speech:

Activists are demanding that the University of Pittsburgh fire any employee deemed racist or discriminatory by students, a move that First Amendment advocates say amounts to the elimination of academic freedom.

Black Pitt, a coalition of black student groups, is demanding that the university fire any employee dubbed “racist” by a black-only student council and end employee speech immunity, a core principle of academic freedom and First Amendment protections for academics at public universities.

“Faculty and staff with one incident or complaint of racial bias, excessive force, or unlawful arrest/detainment should be terminated and banned from the University campus immediately if found at fault,” the letter reads. “During the time of the investigation, the faculty/staff should be disclosed by name and banned from the University campus until its completion.”

There is much more to this, however.

Their letter begins:

To Whom It May Concern,

The following document consists of an action plan curated by the undergraduate, Black student leaders of the University of Pittsburgh. As members of the Pitt community, we are exhausted mentally, physically, as well as emotionally. Each day we find ourselves overcompensating to make up for the University’s failures at combating racism on campus, in the classroom, and amongst students. In light of recent events, we find ourselves at a pivotal point in time. A point in which change must occur in order for the University to progress forward. A point at which the University must take a stance in solidarity alongside its Black students. A point in which the University must reflect and examine its own racist foundation as well as the impacts of systemic racism on business matters and everyday duties at the University of Pittsburgh.

The letter drones on-and-on-and-on, demanding more of a focus on the ‘Black experience’, ‘Mandatory race-based training for faculty’, complaints of Raaaaacist behavior to be investigated by a ‘People’s Voice committee’ [Trotsky and Beria would be sooo proud], Sever ties with Pittsburgh City Police Department’ [of course]

One item really hit me:

Create a space, aside from the BAS office in the William Pitt Union, on campus solely for Black students to congregate. The Black student body would prefer a location in Posvar to keep us connected to the Africana and African Studies Department.

Sooo…these Ignoramuses want to Re-Segregate.

Sooo…all the pain and suffering experienced by Boston, Springfield [Massachusetts], Kansas City [Missouri], Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nashville, Pasadena, Prince George’s County [Maryland], Richmond [Virginia], Wilmington [Delaware], Indianapolis, et al was for nothing, because now Blacks want to Officially Separate themselves.

Independence Day 2020 — Is Anybody There?

There is not much to celebrate this day that you will find in current events.

About all we can do is remember what it was we used to celebrate in The United States before it became The United State, where a majority of Americans have decided to become Slaves Of The State, sheep who can be brought to figurative and actual Slaughter.

We must — it is our duty — drink-in the Spirit that animated Patrick Henry:

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the house. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.

This is no time for ceremony. The question before the house is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at the truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those warlike preparations which cover our waters and darken our land. Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called in to win back our love?

Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us: they can be meant for no other. They are sent over to bind and rivet upon us those chains which the British ministry have been so long forging.

And what have we to oppose to them?

Shall we try argument?

Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years. Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing.

We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable; but it has been all in vain.

Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication?

What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted?

Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on. We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne, and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us.

Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us.

The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.

Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest.

There is no retreat but in submission and slavery!

Under Attack By The Dependence Mongers: Independence Day 2020-07-02

On 02 July 1776, The Second Continental Congress passed The Declaration Of Independence.

As John Adams wrote the next day to his wife Abigail:

My Dearest Friend,

…The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epocha in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival.

It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore.

You will think me transported with enthusiasm, but I am not. I am well aware of the toil and blood and treasure that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration and support and defend these States. Yet, through all the gloom, I can see the rays of ravishing light and glory. I can see that the end is more than worth all the means. And that posterity will triumph in that day’s transaction, even although we should rue it, which I trust in God we shall not.

[Of course, we celebrate the Fourth of July, instead of the Second. It’s not that Mr. Adams got it wrong because The Declaration was passed on 02 July, but the adoption of it did not become official until 04 July.]

There’s not much to celebrate this year as we watch America descend into a Revolutionary Madness, fueled by Ignorance, a Willful Blindness that will lead to Misery and Death.

History, of course, does not repeat itself; rather, it rhymes.  In the whole of recorded History, there has never been an exact repeat of past events.  But we can see in those past events strands of Cause and Effect that can, indeed, repeat — certainly Resonate and provide us with Valuable Lessons for the present situation.

These days, I find myself thinking back to the 1905 and 1917 Russian Revolutions.  They contain those strands that should make us tremble.

They should also promprt us into Action.

In future posts, I will put before you some ideas I have on this matter.  Right now, I’m still collecting my thoughts and trying to subdue my Anger.  I am disappointed in my Fellow Americans.

The GOPe and The Conservative Beautiful People remind me of John Wilkes Booth as he lay dying when he looked at his hands and said ‘Useless…useless’.

We must take back the Spirit of The Founders…and it won’t be easy.

From city and town governments up through the national government, we are witnessing a Hardening of that Soft Fascism I’ve been warning about since 2006.

It is quite clear now to me that America, the physical version, must be split-up [more on this in future posts].

I would like to end on a Note Of Hope, provided by the Great Martyr of The War For Independence, Doctor / Brigadier General Joseph Warren:

Our country is in danger, but not to be despaired of. Our enemies are numerous and powerful; but we have many friends, determining to be free, and heaven and earth will aid the resolution. On you depend the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important question, on which rest the happiness and liberty of millions yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves.

On that day, Patriot Outlaws met the British in battle on the hills of Charlestown, Massachusetts.

The Red Coats won the Battle, but their losses were so horrific [especially among the Officers] they never dared venture out of Boston again.

A disorganized army of Colonists under shaky and sometimes non-existent command, fought bravely and held off the damned British as long as they could.

Their Spirit must never be forgotten.

From a letter written by Peter Brown, Colonial Soldier, on 18 June 1775, to his mother in Rhode Island [re-paragraphing mine]:

…The enemy landed, fronted before us, and form’d themselves, in an oblong square in order to surround, which they did in part — after they were well form’d they advanced towards us in order to swallow us up, but they found a Choaky mouthful of us, ‘tho we could do nothing with our small arms as yet for distance, and had but two Cannon, and no Gunner, and they from Boston, and from the shipping firing and throwing Bombs, keeping us down, till they almost surrounded us.

— But God in Mercy to us fought our battle, and tho’ we were but few in number, and suffer’d to be defeated by our enemy, yet we were presrev[ed] in a most wonderful manner, far beyond our expectation and to our admiration for out of our Regiment there were but 37 kill’d 4 or 5 taken captive, about forty seven Wounded

& Oh may I never forget Gods distinguishing Mercy to me, in sparing my Life, when they fell on my right hand, and on my left, and close by me, they were to the eye of reason no more expos’d than myself. — When the Arrows of death flew thick around me, I was preserv’d while others were suffer’d to fall a prey to our Cruel enemies. O may That God whose Mercy was so far extended in my preservation, grant me his grace to devote my future Life to his divine service

Nor do I conclude that the danger is yet over, unless God in his Mercy either remove our enemy, or heal the breach — but if we should be call’d again to action I hope to have courage and strength to act my part valiently in defence of our Liberties & Country trusting in him who hath hitherto kept me, and hath cover’d my head in the day of battle, and altho’ we have lost four out of our Company & several taken captive by the enemy of America, I was not suffer’d to be touch’d.

From a letter written by Samuel Adams to his wife Elizabeth on 28 June 1775 from Philadelphia:

MY DEAR BETSY,

Yesterday I receivd Letters from some of our Friends at the Camp informing me of the Engagement between the American Troops and the Rebel Army, in Charlestown. I cannot but be greatly rejoycd at the tryed Valor of our Countrymen, who by all Accounts behavd with an Intrepidity becoming those who fought for their Liberties against the mercenary Soldiers of a Tyrant. It is painful to me to reflect upon the Terror I must suppose you were under on hearing the Noise of War so near you. Favor me, my dear, with an Account of your Apprehensions at that time, under your own hand. I pray God to cover the heads of our Countrymen in every day of Battle, and ever to protect you from Injury in these distracted Times. The Death of our truly amiable and worthy Friend Dr Warren is greatly afflicting. The Language of Friendship is, how shall we resign him! But it is our Duty to submit to the Dispensations of Heaven, “Whose Ways are ever gracious, ever just.” He fell in the glorious Struggle for the publick Liberty.

The Dr. Warren referred to is Dr. Joseph Warren, who was in charge of the Massachusetts Rebels in the absence of Samuel Adams.

He had been commissioned a Major General in the Massachusetts Militia, but insisted on serving as a Private during The Battle Of Bunker Hill.  From Wikipedia:

Warren was appointed a Major General by the Provincial Congress on June 14, 1775. He arrived where the militia was forming and asked where the heaviest fighting would be; General Israel Putnam pointed to Breeds Hill. He volunteered as a private against the wishes of General Putnam and Colonel William Prescott, who requested that he serve as their commander. Since Putnam and Prescott were more experienced with war he declined command. He was among those inspiring the men to hold rank against superior numbers. Warren was known to have repeatedly declared of the British: “These fellows say we won’t fight! By Heaven, I hope I shall die up to my knees in blood!” He fought in the redoubt until out of ammunition, and remained until the British made their third and final assault on the hill to give time for the militia to escape. He was killed instantly by a musket ball in the head by a British officer (possibly Lieutenant Lord Rawdon) who recognized him. This account is supported by a 2011 forensic analysis. His body was stripped of clothing and he was bayoneted until unrecognizable, and then shoved into a shallow ditch.

British Captain Walter Laurie, who had been defeated at Old North Bridge, later said he “stuffed the scoundrel with another rebel into one hole, and there he and his seditious principles may remain.” His body was exhumed ten months after his death by his brothers and Paul Revere, who identified the remains by the artificial tooth he had placed in the jaw….

The Enemy Within we face today is even more barbaric.

Over at The Other McCain, Stacy asks a question of Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner that could [and should] be asked of all elected officials in states where Rioting and Looting have gone on:

Why does this distinction between protesters and looters matter so much to Krasner?….

It is because these officials want to distance themselves from the Rioters, who the people dislike.

Their Toadies in the local and national media parrot these statements so often that it is sickening to watch any newscast these days.

The fact of the matter is: the majority of protesters and looters and their fans in the media are entwined in a Dance Of Destructive Violence.  Those who sincerely want to protest the unlawful death of George Floyd have been infiltrated by Leftists who want to advance the cause of Revolution by, of course, any means necessary.  Part of the problem is that the sincere ones have been baked in Grievance-Mongering Identity Politics for so long that they are unable to spot the Agent Provocateurs until it is too late.  Leftism doe not encourage Sober Thinking.

Other reasons compel the officials, as Stacy points-out:

…Is it not obvious to everyone with two eyes and a brain that the people who organize the “peaceful protests” are doing so with the intent of causing riots? And that the people committing “crimes of opportunity” understand this as well as the political organizers do? Of course, the protest organizers are funded by Soros, the same man who spent nearly $2 million to elect Krasner. Democrats are the party of criminals. Someone should write a book about that.

US Soft Fascist Hardening: On The Permanent Emergency State

[SIDENOTE: For an explanation of why I haven’t been posting for nearly a month: I have been suffering on and off from a rather severe sinus problem and, perhaps connected with this, I have been suffering from a Bad Writer’s Block.  I think this whole ‘stay-in-doors’ thing has worn on me as well, draining my spirits just at the time I should be fighting the Soft-Fascism that surrounds us — this Black Dog is a biggun’.]

From Mark Steyn’s most recent column, on Thursday instant, a question:

Emergency without end is the staple of almost every futuristic dystopia — and that’s true for real life, too. So Americans shuffle shoeless through the airports for twenty years while their governments negotiate with the very organization that enabled those attacks — the Taliban — to restore them to power. Is a culture that cannot see off goatherds with fertilizer really going to rouse itself to decouple from a global superpower that supplies everything from its crappy “These Colors Don’t Run” T-shirts to its surgical masks and pharmacy medications?

Trumpicus Pompey Maximus promises that he will work hard to Decouple America from the Deep and Dishonorable Dependency we have on Red China, but, I’m sorry, I don’t Trust him or any body of any government at any level to do a full and Complete Decouple.

He talks a good game, but, as Mark points-out: look at the Indecency of his negotiations with the Taliban.  That’s not what we want you to do, Sir.  It seems you’re just an Appeaser, so why should I have any Faith that our Decoupling from The Murderous Barbarian Chinese Communists [thank you Laura Rosen Cohen] will go as far as it must go, which is to say Complete and Total.

Many in America and some in The West have awakened — finally — to the Truth that Red China is the Nexus Of Evil in the World, but not enough.

Even Iran is beholden to these Reprehensible Reds.

Where ever the PRC goes, they Spy and Steal technology and seek to Undermine nation-states.

They are a Major Menace.

One of the few positive things to come out of this Pandemic is the major Loss Of Face the PRC has suffered.  The Red Chinese are Desperately trying to reinvigorate their Reputation through Outright Lies and Bribes.

The Chi-Coms are seeking to purchase US-owned businesses as silent partners, much as The Mafia did in Las Vegas.  The PRC is: nothing but an Organized Crime Organization, seeking Power And Control by expanding it’s territories and spheres of influence.  Unlike the Mafia, however, this fight involves Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Warfare.

Any Elected Official or LEO with a smidgen of Common Sense would reject any offers from these Murderous Bastards.

The Red Chinese cannot be Trusted — full stop.

What the national government should be doing is preparing to cause the PRC even more Loss Of Face.

But, sadly, we cannot expect that from the current elected officials in charge.

#WUHAN – No Chief Executive Is A Dictator

Yesterday, President Trump invoked his executive power as Commander-in-Chief to put an American corporation under federal orders:

President Trump blasted the company 3M in a tweet Thursday evening, after invoking the Defense Production Act to force the company to produce face masks. N95 face masks are critical for health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, and there have been issues with mask shortages. “We hit 3M hard today after seeing what they were doing with their Masks. “P Act” all the way. Big surprise to many in government as to what they were doing — will have a big price to pay!” Mr. Trump wrote, referring to the Defense Production Act.

Mr. Trump announced during the White House coronavirus task force briefing on Thursday that he had signed an order for 3M to produce face masks.

The answer is that The Constitution does not Delegate such a Power to the national government.

The First Question that must ALWAYS be asked when passing a Law or promulgating a Regulation is: Is this Constitutional?

A Constitutional Republic exists only when the Public and the Private Sectors cooperate Freely.  The Former utilizing only those Powers Granted to it by The Sovereign People through their Federal Constitution and latter of it’s own Free Will.

If a company such as, say, 3M [which is the subject of Stacy’s post], decides not to Cooperate with am Executive Request, then there cannot be any Legal Remedies to the situation.

However, The President does have a way to fight back against such a Refusal: not by Threats of Force or Economic-Legal Sanctions [which are Un-Constitutional], buy the tried-and-true practice of SHAMING.

The President can use his, now daily, Bully Pulpit to call-out an uncooperative company.

We are not at War.

We are battling a Communist originated Crisis, which means we should be paying even more close attention to attempts to set Precedents for our governments at all levels Seizing Power And Control they are not permitted, not Delegated, to Assume.  It is during Crises that Freedoms are often Lost.
